About personal authority

Goal
To give your co-workers a context in which they:
-  broaden their understanding and awareness of how authority manifests itself;
-  strengthening respect and appreciation for the phenomenon of authority;
-  mobilizing the nerve to candidly show authority in organizations.

Background
Distrust and lack of respect are of the order of the day in professional relationships. A lack of authority undermines working communities. Professional relationships deteriorate into dishonesty. For many, the concept of ‘authority’ has a corny or negative connotation in these times of economic and social unrest. But what is my or your authority? What guides us in our lives and our work? What do we and don’t we take seriously in ourselves and others?

Approach of the workshop
Depending on the duration of the workshop, participants will work on the following themes on the basis of experience: opportunities and pitfalls for my authority, authority in times of crisis in my life, my temperament and character in relation to my authority, the effect of ‘the good friend’: compassion and confrontation, the effect of the artist: amazement, taking things seriously and authority as a trade.

The fee
The standard fee for this two-session workshop is € 500 per person. This includes materials, supervision and support by De Baak, and excludes VAT and accommodation package costs.
